Prytanis

 Sanjay Kapoor

The Prytanis has all the duties and powers of a president and serves as the Chief Executive of the chapter. Here are some of his responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Chapter as the presiding officer
  • Preside over all meetings, including but not limited to, meetings of the Chapter officers, formal Chapter meetings, informal chapter meetings, and rituals
  • Enforce the constitution, laws, traditions, rituals, and local bylaws and rules, at all times
  • Make sure all chapter duties are taken completed
  • Delegate work as appropriate
  • Carify the goals of the chapter and carry out the wishes of the chapter
  • Appoint all committee chairmen; removing ones who do not fulfill their responsibilities
  • Ensure communications between TKE, your school, and other fraternities
  • Ensure communications between your chapter and the Offices of the Grand Chapter
  • Promote communications between undergraduates and Alumni
  • Along with the Hypophetes, maintain the chapter morale at a high level
  • Facilitate the running of the operations of the house
  • Appoint a voting delegate to campus inter-fraternal organizations
  • Serve as chapter delegate to Conclave
  • Be a leader; influence others for the benefit of the chapter
  • Make responsible decisions
  • Listen to the needs of the chapter and attempt to meet them
  • Get all chapter members involved during the semester
  • Be the spokesman for the chapter
  • Ensure the chapter is represented in TKE educational conferences and programs
  • Attend Alumni Association meetings as the chapter representative
  • Co-ordinate an officer retreat with the Chapter Advisor
  • Co-ordinate a chapter retreat with the Chapter Advisor
  • Help the Crysophylos prepare an adequate budget for the term

Epiprytanis

 Pete Nayyar

The Epiprytanis has all the duties and powers of a vice president, in the absence of the Prytanis he performs all of his duties. Here are some of his responsibilities:

  • Hold copies of the Constitution, laws and bylaws of the chapter, and The Black Book. Be familiar with their contents, bring copies to meetings, and be prepared to answer or secure answers for any question or interpretation of them
  • Maintain a current copies of the Constitution, laws and bylaws, and inserting all amendments and update as necessary for any changes
  • Review bylaws at least annually; look for updates needed to keep them current
  • Assist the Prytanis as required
  • Co-ordinate the activities of all committees and general administration
  • Help the Crysophylos prepare an adequate budget for the term

Grammateus

 Chris Hu

The Grammateus has all the duties and powers of Secretary. Here are some of his responsibilities:

  • Keep the list of chapter officers on file with the Offices of the Grand Chapter updated
  • Keep a permanent record of all proceedings of the chapter, passing these record on to his successor in office
  • Attend to all correspondence not otherwise delegated, keeping a file of all chapter correspondence with the International Headquarters, college and other interested parties.
  • Transmit a copy of the minutes of each meeting to the president of the Board of Advisors, the Chapter Advisor, and the Offices of the Grand Chapter at least monthly
  • Develop a new phone list every term, providing a copy to each member
  • Report to the chapter at all meetings any unfinished business
  • Prepare and forward to the Offices of the Grand Chapter a roster that includes all chapter members
  • Certify nominations for Chapter Advisor to the Offices of the Grand Chapter
  • Complete, with the help of the Prytanis, the Annual Report and any applications for Chapter awards

Crysophylos

 Vincent Lagregor

The Crysophylos has all the duties and powers of Treasurer. Here are some of his responsibilities:

  • Collect all monies due the chapter and to disburse the same, paying all bills which have been approved
  • Keep accurate and true account of all financial transactions
  • Make reports of receipts and expenditures when required
  • Remit promptly (within 15 days) to the Offices of the Grand Chapter all initiation registrations and fees
  • Make financial reports in sufficient copies, filing one with the Offices of the Grand Chapter, one with the Board of Advisors, one with the Chapter Advisor, and post one for all members of the chapter to read
  • Assist in making the chapter budget
  • Make monthly written reports to the chapter of receipts and disbursements, all bills receivable and bills payable, and the length of time the same has been running, with a summary comparing each with the previous month, the same to be filed with the Grammateus and incorporated in the minutes
  • File an Annual Report with the Offices of the Grand Chapter as required by the Black Book
  • Make sure the new members’ initiate forms and fees are remitted to the Offices of the Grand Chapter in a timely manner, with ALL information completed
  • Register all candidates as soon as they accept the bid, so that they may receive their Candidate Kits prior to the first meeting with the Hegemon

Histor

 Brendon Byrne

The Histor has all the duties and powers of a Historian. Here are some of his responsibilities:

  • Take photos of all events and record chapter history and produce a photo album for each term
  • Safely keep and transmit to his successor the scroll of the chapter
  • Coordinate the development of composites
  • Provide information for THE TEKE magazine about chapter activities
  • Cooperate local alumni associations, where they exist, to provide programming for Teke Alumni
  • Produce newsletters for chapter members and alumni and forward a copy to the Offices of the Grand Chapter

Hypophetes

 Ben Taggart

Some of the duties of the Hypophetes are:

  • Develop a calendar for rituals, in conjunction with the Hegemon and Prytanis
  • Educate everyone (Candidate and brother) on new and old rituals
  • Administer the oath of officers elect
  • Keep all ritual items and make an inventory of them
  • Preside in the absence of both the Prytanis and Epiprytanis
  • Counsel with any member about his academic progress and difficulties, arranging for further help, tutoring and counseling as needed
  • To review, at least once a semester, each brother's grades
  • Maintain the chapter morale at a high level

Pylortes

 Victor Henry Nelson III

The Pylortes has all the duties and powers of a Sergeant-at-Arms. Here are some of his responsibilities:

  • Act as doorkeeper at meetings, maintaining order as needed or directed by the Prytanis
  • Be the primary risk management officer, chairing the Risk Management committee
  • Be the risk management representative for the chapter
  • Work with the chapter to develop an alcohol awareness program
  • Be the active enforcer of the fraternity to discipline when necessary
  • Set up before chapter meetings
  • Be custodian of all flags, properly displaying them whenever customary

Hegemon

 Alex Bennett

Here are some of the responsibilities of the Hegemon:

  • Develop a realistic calendar at the beginning of the semester for all Candidate activities and functions
  • Implement a Membership Development Program for all members
  • Stress Leadership, Scholarship, active participation and rush through action and work
  • Constantly monitor progress of new members
  • Be in charge of all Candidates and actives at activities
  • Prepare a written program covering all aspects of the new member education program and superve the program
  • Cooperate with the Prytanis in the selection of Big Brothers for the new members
  • Ensure that the Offices of the Grand Chapter are notified of all new Candidates
